You're right that different ppl have diff feeling and diff ways in seeing art. There is no absolute rule of "good art". And from art history, you can see any art define as "good or innovative" which are presented or promoted by critic - a person with good analytical skill only. I think every art which can be appreciated in one way and be critized in another way. Put reason on your defination on "good or bad art". Sometimes, when your teacher said the art is good or bad, you just can know about this is your teacher's own experience and knowledge. Don't too believe on your teacher and any others. Sometimes, making art is much easier than art critizing.
